The eye-catching furnishings are mostly from the 1970s and give the apartment a unique retro flair. Experience a stylistic-historical place to live and enjoy where you can just put your feet up, but without the frills and knick-knacks like at Grandma’s. We are rather pragmatic: The apartment has everything that needs to be in it and definitely has an authentic style for those with an attention to detail.
Aren’t we all a little bit Bauhaus?
Situated between Weimar and Dessau, a little bit of the Bauhaus has remained behind at the Platte am Park in Naumburg – who would have known? Nowadays, we are basically all a bit Bauhaus: Therefore, so are the living room and bedroom of our apartment. Well, at least they’re linear, reduced and geometric.

Living room
The living room is the heart of the apartment and offers, in addition to original and lovingly-finished furniture, modern comfort with a smart TV and free use of the Platte’s own accounts for Netflix and Apple Music. Oh yes, the overhauled GDR radio classic REMA Arioso system is pimped and can stream your very individual holiday soundtrack from your mobile device via built-in Bluetooth for the perfect vibes on your holiday in Naumburg.
Bedroom
In the bedroom, we have combined the original Hellerau bedside tables and the corresponding wardrobe with a minimalist IKEA bed and desk, completely undisturbed and without much fuss.
Bathroom & kitchen
The bathroom is equipped with a relaxing shower, toilet, towel warmer, hairdryer and large mirror and the modern kitchen is also equipped with everything: A large fridge and freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a practical breakfast cabinet. Moreover, if your clothes have become dirty from hiking in the vineyards, don’t worry: A washing machine is also available in the apartment.
Consciously retro-original and second-hand furnishings
When furnishing our apartment in the Platte am Park, we made a conscious decision to use existing resources and to handle them responsibly. That’s why it is almost exclusively furnished with restored retro classics, well-preserved second-hand furniture and refurbished entertainment technology along with modern bathroom and kitchen equipment as well as energy-saving lamps.
